First time that i ever owned an aikidogi, i decided to go with the premium aikidogi and standard pants: size 5 for both, the pants are really nice with the double layer from above the knee till down to the feet, the jacket is wonderful, i already washed it in cold water and it shrinked a bit (i think 1,5-2cm) but now is perfect with the lenght of my arms, it finish 3cm from the wrists. The only thind that disappointed me is that the jacket didn't have any straps to tie it to the body (i didn't know it didn't have them), but i already had someone to put them on it.(maybe wearing and hakama eliminate this problem if it ties it to the body and keep it in touch with the waist).

I have worn this jacket for up to 10 hours a week for the last 7 years. It's indestructible! The collar is starting to wear through the first few layers of cotton now, and it's starting to look a bit scruffy Other students in my dojo have gone through at least 3 jackets in that time . It is heavier and thicker than other jackets, but comfortable, although you will sweat more. However, you will suffer less abrasions during kokyunage. It's well cut although the sleeves are slightly wide at the cuffs. If you need the sleeves shortened or any other modifications, get Tozando to do it. Our local seamstress had difficulty with the tough material when shortening the sleeves for me. At the current price it's a superb buy. Tozando's shipping is fast and their communication is great too, so you can buy with confidence from them. Their size charts are accurate too. And take advantage of their service to make any adjustments (sleeve lenght etc) when you order.

Great Gi Jacket! |

This Gi Jacket is amazing care my body while i make ukemi or ushiro ukemi.
Also this jacket is very durable, soft and good looking=)
Highly recommended for active Aikido practice in cold period of year, or outdoor trainings.
